It covers South Cumbria and the Lake District National Park in the northwest of England, including Workington, Barrow-in-Furness, Kendal, Keswick, Penrith and Appleby-in-Westmorland.

About the Lake District and Cumbria cycle map

The South Cumbria and Lake District cycle map covers sections of several iconic cycle routes, including:

  • Walney to Wear and Whitby (or W2W)
  • Sea to Sea (or C2C)
  • Hadrian's Cycleway
  • The Bay Cycleway

This pocket-sized colour map shows clearly mapped on-road and traffic-free paths, easy-to-read contours, and detailed inset maps for the major towns and cities as well as recommended linking routes connecting the NCN with quiet roads. National Route 7 from Sebergham, through Penrith and East to Garrigill (Sustrans LE-JOG to Penrith, C2C from there to Garrigill)

National Route 10 from Cockermouth to Sebergham (Reivers Route)

National Route 68 from Melmerby down through Appleby, parallel to the M6 for a bit, through Sedbergh before heading to Deepdale (Pennine Cycleway and C2C & W2W for a bit)

National Route 70 from Kirkby Stephen to Barrow-in-Furness via Kendal (W2W and Bay Cycle Way for a bit)

National Route 71 from Appleby-in-Westmorland, through Penrith and Keswick before splitting at Lorton to head North to Workington or south to Whitehaven (C2C)

National Route 72 follows the west coast of Cumbria down to Ravenglass (Hadrian’s Cycleway)

National Route 637 from Ambleside to Coniston

National Route 700 from Barrow-in-Furness to Arnside (Bay Cycle Way)
