The Lon Las Cymru South route connects Llanidloes in the heart of Wales to the attractive finishing points of Cardiff or Chepstow. There are two route options: one via Hay-on-Wye to Abergavenny and Chepstow with a taste of the Black Mountains, and another along the largely traffic-free Taff Trail from Brecon to Cardiff via Merthyr Tydfil.
