The Two Tunnels cycle route is a fantastic traffic-free link that connects Central Bath with Midford and Wellow. It is signed as National Route 244 and connects National Route 4 and 24. The route takes in two disused railway tunnels, the Devonshire Tunnel and the Combe Down tunnel, which stretches for 1672 metres. It is the longest traffic-free cycling tunnel in Europe.
Travelling through the Combe Down Tunnel you'll expereince an extraordinary audio-visual installation, Passage by United Visual Artists. Both tunnels are well lit, have a sealed surface and are wide enough for pedestrians and cyclists to comfortably use the route in harmony.
