This area map shows the Northern Ireland North West Trail route and surrounding area over two map panels. This full colour map based on Ordnance Survey data shows clearly mapped cycle routes on traffic-free paths, quiet lanes and roads, with easy to read contours and route profiles. Also features inset maps for the major towns and cities, and local and regional routes.
We are improving the National Cycle Network to make it more accessible for everyone. As part of our Paths for Everyone vision, some sections of the Network have been removed or reclassified. There may be sections within these maps that are no longer part of the Network. These sections are likely to be on busier roads and will suit more experienced cyclists.

The trail meanders through the Yeats country in County Sligo, enjoys dramatic views of the Atlantic Ocean in County Donegal and makes its way through the Mourne and Strule River Valleys in the heart of the Sperrins region to the spectacular Fermanagh Lakelands. In County Leitrim the trail takes in a variety of castles and ancient ruins.
