This is the 5th part of the Danube Bike Trail - an adventurous journey from Belgrade to the Black Sea. This last part of the trail mostly follows paved main roads and secondary roads, shared with a variety of traffic. There are also several stretches along unpaved roads in rural areas which require more careful negotiation. For much of the way there is a choice of riding on the northern or southern bank of the Danube, while you can ride the last section in Romania to Tulcea along the river or via the harbour city of Constanta and the Black Sea coast. From Tulcea you can take a river cruise to the delta and the mouth of the Danube.
This spiral-bound guidebook incorporates detailed mapping highlighting the route and its variants, street plans for main cities, and extensive information conveyed by symbols indicating road surface, campsites and other accommodation, repair workshops, recreational facilities and places of interest. GPS data is available for the route from the publisher's website.
